First flight of the QRO v1.0 done successfully on Dec 26, 2006

QRO v1.0 specifications

- CPU : PIC16F628/20 RISC technology from Microchip

- Clock : 16 Mhz
- 3 Piezo gyroscopes : ACT semi Micro Digital ( Nec Tokin CG-L43 )
- 4 Brushless outrunner motors : XM2822CA with 4 X-UFO propellers
- 4 Speed controllers (ESC) : XC1210BA
- Receiver : Graupner R700
- Transmitter : Graupner MX12 at 41 Mhz
- Weight with Lipo 3S1P 950 mA : 608 g, Payload : 150 g,
flight time : 5-8 min
- Weight with Lipo 3S1P 2100 mA : 668 g, Payload 100 g,
flight time : 15-18 min
- Firmware : Wolferl v2.0a modified version by JL Naudin
- Registers setup : 1:0, 1:16, 2:0, 3:0, 4:0, 5:-1, 6:25, 7:6, 8:1, 9:16, 10:0, 11:0, 12:-1, 13:35, 14:6, 15:0, 16:-8, 17:13, 18:35, 19:10, 20:0

Below you will find some photos about the QRO v1.1 outdoor tests flights

At this moment, the QRO project is still under developpement, some improvements are planned :

- Increase of the payload capability, up to 500 g,
- GPS, IMU and ultrasonic altimeter for a Low Altitude and a full autonomous navigation, ( QRO v2.0 ).
